Allantoin, USP

Allantoin is a nature-identical compound originally found in the roots and leaves of the comfrey plant. To meet market demands, it is now synthesized while maintaining its natural properties. Also known as 5-ureidohydantoin, glyoxyl-diureide, and 2,5-dioxo-4-imidazolidinyl-urea, it boasts a purity of 99-100% and a melting point of 230°C (446°F).
